Most phones, computers, and other electronics have a dark mode option that presents a light color text (white or gray) against a dark background instead of the standard dark text on top of a white background. If your device has an OLED screen, which most newer ones do, dark mode can reduce the battery drain, which saves energy.

Some people also find that dark mode looks cooler and is more comfortable on the eyes. Plus, it reduces blue light, which may help you sleep better.
