Log a climate win

Description

Take two minutes and complete this sentence:

“This week I showed up by [action]…” Choose one win, even a tiny one. It could be a conversation, a choice you made, a reminder you set, or a habit you kept going. Add a one-word feeling at the end: proud, hopeful, calm, or whatever feels true.

Why it matters: Naming what you did directs your attention toward progress and can make the action easier to remember and repeat. Habit research shows that repeating simple behaviors in stable contexts can support them sticking over time. Environmental identity is also associated with pro-environmental behavior. Your entries create a record of how you are acting on your values.

Tips

• Keep It Short and Simple: Write one honest line. It does not need to be impressive or perfect.

• Use the Prompt: If you are unsure how to begin, try: “This week I showed up by learning, choosing, sharing, requesting, or supporting...”

• Save Your Wins: Keep them together in a notes app, journal, or pinned message. If your win is an Earth Hero action, remember to mark it achieved!

• Look for Patterns: Once a month, reread your entries and choose one action or behavior you want to repeat.

• Share Your Win: Tell a friend to reinforce your motivation.
