BUND - Freunde Der Erde

BUND (Friends of the Earth Germany) is a non-profit environmental organization with over 2,000 grassroots groups nationwide. It's one of the largest environmental organizations in Germany and is supported by more than 674,000 people. Their goals include creating an organic agricultural system, ending factory farms and the use of toxic chemicals, healthy food, land conservation, transitioning to renewable sources of energy, protecting endangered species, forests and water, and educating the public. The BUND is mainly financed primarily through membership fees and donations, and is independent of politics and business. BUND is a member association with democratic decision-making at all levels. The elected honorary office makes the final decisions about goals, strategies, and use of resources of the association. All residents of Germany are encouraged to join BUND.
