Founded in 1991, the Portuguese Confederation of Environmental Protection Associations (CPADA) is the largest environmental organization in Portugal. It networks about 100 environmental defense associations and environmental NGOs. CPADA focuses on local, regional, and national environmental issues. This includes conservation, land use, green cities and transportation, animal welfare, organic farming, democratic decision-making, and environmental education. They also work to protect Portuguese culture and heritage and organize outdoor activities for residents. All residents of Portugal can join CPADA. Get started by following them on social media and look for an upcoming event to take part in.
