Ecogenia is an NGO in Greece that promotes sustainability through civic engagement, training, and employment opportunities for young people. Scientists agree that we are running out of time to combat climate change before we hit Earth's tipping points. In response, Ecogenia recruits, trains, and mobilizes teams of young people (ages 18-30) in Greece to execute localized climate action projects and build a resilient Greek society. The program includes a year of service, leading localized change and addressing community needs across the 13 regions of Greece through a paid service term. Their campaigns focus on sustainable tourism, conservation, environmental education, disaster and wildlife preparedness, transitioning to a sustainable circular economy, waste reduction, and online climate action. Residents of Greece ages 18 - 30 are welcome to join Ecogenia. Get started by signing up for their newsletter, following them on social media, and browsing their website to learn more and stay updated about new program openings.
