Environment Victoria

Environment Victoria is an independent charity funded by donations and focused on Victoria. Established in 1969, they’ve grown into a community of 40 local grassroots groups and more than 200,000 individual supporters. They campaign to solve the climate crisis and build a thriving, sustainable society that protects and values nature. They see Victoria as a national and global leader in solving the climate change crisis. They believe the state can be an inspiring example of a sustainable society that protects and values nature. Their campaigns include transitioning away from fossil fuels and onto renewable sources of energy, protecting the rivers and other critical ecosystems, helping individuals and families live sustainably and reduce their carbon footprint, and growing their movement to pressure the Australian government to take appropriate action to safeguard our future from climate and ecological collapse.
