A national chapter of Friends of the Earth International that is an outspoken leader in the environmental and progressive communities. They seek to change the perception of the public, media, and policymakers — and effect policy change — with hard-hitting, well-reasoned policy analysis and advocacy campaigns that describe what needs to be done, rather than what is seen as politically feasible or politically correct. They fight for the transformation of our political and economic systems, including targeting the toxic pesticide industry and companies that sell their products. Their focus is on a rapid and just transition to renewable energy, economic justice, food sovereignty, and protecting forests, oceans, biodiversity, and democracy.
