Friends of the Earth France is a non-profit environmental and human rights organisation in France. Created in 1970, Friends of the Earth France helped to build the French ecological movement and was one of the founding organisations of Friends of the Earth International. It's independent of any religious or political influence. Friends of the Earth France forms a local network composed of 30 autonomous local groups that support national and international climate justice campaigns. Friends of the Earth France also works closely with other social and climate justice organizations They publish a quarterly print magazine, La Baleine, which informs its members about current campaigns and the network’s news. Their main activities focus on a just transition to renewables, protection of ecosystems, agriculture and food, economic justice, and resource use. Friends of the Earth France is open to all residents of France who want to take action to maintain a safe and habitable Earth.
