Junior Landcare

Launched in 1998, Junior Landcare is a charity in Australia that provides children with the opportunity to play an active role in ensuring a safe future for our natural environment. Junior Landcare encourages continuous participation from childhood to adulthood so that the children of today become the Landcarers of the future. They provide children with an opportunity to become aware of important environmental issues and perspectives, empowered to take meaningful action for the environment, and active in their environment and local community. They offer a learning center, educator hub, and grants that support schools, early childhood centres, before and after school centres, and youth groups. Their Educator Hub provides educators and Landcare groups with information that helps them teach young people to become aware, empowered, active, and connected to the environment and their local community.
