Landcare Australia is a national non-profit organisation that supports the landcare community with funding, capacity-building, on-ground projects, information, and networking. Their efforts improve biodiversity, build resilience in Australia’s food and farming systems, and create stronger communities. Landcare Australia has expertise in designing, managing, and completing challenging ecological restoration projects involving large-scale revegetation and carbon abatement. Landcare Australia collaborates with federal, state, and local governments and their agencies, corporate and philanthropic partners, sponsors, community groups and individuals to support the landcare community. They also offer 'junior landcare' opportunities for young people. To get started, sign up for their newsletter, find your local landcare group (or start your own), join a community event, and check out their volunteer opportunities.
