Our Kids Climate

Our Kids Climate Icon

Our Kids’ Climate was founded in 2015 by the Swedish parent group, Vara Barns Klimat, to add the perspective of concerned parents to the Paris Climate Summit. Since then, Our Kids' Climate has grown into a dynamic network of 58 parent groups from 23 countries, deploying diverse organizing strategies to push for bold climate action. They believe parent-led actions resonate with the public and policymakers and can cut across ideological and political boundaries. Our Kids' Climate demands that governments and businesses around the globe treat climate change as an emergency, commit to a rapid and just transition to renewable energy, increase resilience to climate impacts, commit to sustainable business models & modes of production, and support countries, people, & groups most vulnerable to the effects of climate breakdown. Our Kids' Climate is open to all parents around the globe who want to take action to secure a livable earth for our children. You can get started by following them on social media, join or start a local group of parents, and check out their ongoing projects. Some of their projects include a webinar about how to talk with kids about climate change, a family art project, and climate parent fellowships.
