Transition Network is a grassroots movement that has been growing since 2005. Community-led Transition groups are working for a low-carbon, socially just future with resilient communities, more active participation in society, and a caring culture focused on supporting each other. There is increasing recognition that top-down approaches are not enough to face the environmental, social, and economic challenges we are currently facing. Top-down needs to be combined with community-level responses. Transition is an approach that has spread over many countries in groups, towns, villages, cities, schools, and universities. There are multiple Transition Hubs worldwide that support and connect Transition groups in their region and internationally. Anyone around the world is welcome to join the Transition Network. To get started, register to join their network. After registering, you can look into joining a local Transition group, start a Transition group, and read the Transition guides.
