Youth Climate Leaders (YCL) is an NGO whose mission is to build opportunities for youth to lead solutions to the climate crisis. With offices in Brazil and Portugal, YCL aims to train 100,000 young people as part of a global and Portuguese-speaking network. The climate crisis and structural unemployment are the two biggest threats to the future of young people. To counteract this, YCL promotes the employability of young professionals in the area of climate and sustainability, acting through three pillars: education, networked climate action, and opportunities. Youth and young adults in Brazil and Portugal are encouraged to join YCL. Get started by following them on social media and watching their climate policy course and YCL course. You can also join a local hub, book a meeting with a mentor, and sign up for the online YCL network.
