Zero Waste Europe is a non-profit that aims to ensure that all of Europe commits to transitioning to a sustainable, zero-waste society. They connect and support a vibrant network of 35 local and national NGOs from all across Europe working together for a zero waste future. Zero Waste Europe defines zero waste as: "the conservation of all resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse and recovery of products, packaging and materials without burning, and with no discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health." They believe transitioning to a circular economy will allow us to stay within planetary boundaries and ensure a habitable Earth. Zero Waste Europe is open to all residents of Europe.
